Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson posed for photographers last night at the Big Apple premiere of their new flick "Bride Wars." Although the movie is about two BFFs who become rivals after they both schedule their weddings on the same day, the color-coordinated actresses looked like a couple ready to take a walk down the aisle themselves as they clutched hands on the blue carpet.

Kate (as the bride) donned a black-and-white Oscar de la Renta gown that made her look like a real-life Barbie doll, while Anne (the groom) rocked a retro hairdo reminiscent of the 1960s with her black double-breasted blazer and pencil-legged pants.

While both actresses are undoubtedly beautiful, I thought Anne really made the menswear-inspired look work for her. Adding sex appeal to the overall ensemble were her bright red nails and silver Christian Louboutin platforms!

When Miley Cyrus started hanging out with Justin Gaston last fall, we thought it was just a harmless teenage crush. That, or a calculated move by the Cyruses to put the aspiring singer/male model on the map. If you recall, Justin had his shot at fame on Billy Ray Cyrus‘ reality singing competition "Nashville Star," where he was eliminated early on. What better way to extend those 15 minutes by having him photographed with Miley, who’s arguably the biggest star on the planet?

Miley Cyrus spent her New Year’s Eve performing to fans in a high school.

The pop phenomenon entertained onlookers as they celebrated the start of 2009, at a gym in Beckman High School in Irvine, California. The 16-year-old was also joined by the high school dance team as her backing dancers.

The special intimate show was a prize won by student Alison Kaprielian as part of a contest sponsored by MTV. Both Cyrus and bosses at the music station selected Kaprielian, as she raises awareness about breast cancer.

It was couple’s night at Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood bash at NYC’s Skylight Studios on Tuesday night.

Vanessa Hudgens helped beau Zac Efron celebrate his Star of the Year honor.

"He’s doing really great things, and it’s fun," she told Us. "Ashley [Tisdale] is here too, and Monique [Coleman] as well, so I get to be here with my High School Musical family!"

Of being named Star of the Year, Efron told Us, "It’s been a busy year so far - a lot of us have been working really hard, so it’s very flattering."

 Those weren’t the only chummy co-stars.

CW’s Gossip Girl was named Cast of the Year.

"A year and 1/2 ago nobody really knew who we were, and now we’ve risen to this!" said Penn Badgley, who arrived with girlfriend Blake Lively. "It’s a lot of fun for all of us."

(Before they left together, Lively gave Badgley a kiss on the lips!)

Which celebs was Becki Newton dying to see?

"Everyone!" she gushed to Us.

She and her Ugly Betty costar Michael Urie were named Comedy Duo of the Year.

"Anytime Becki and I get to do anything together, it’s really fun," Urie told Us. "And when we’re honored for our work, it’s really so nice."

 

Jennifer Aniston is top dog at the box office.

Her flick, Marley & Me, earned $24.1 million over the weekend, making it No. 1 for the second week in a row.

The doggy drama, which set a Christmas Day opening record, has made $106.5 million so far.

Adam Sandler’s Bedtime Stories came in second spot, earning $20.3 million.

John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their 8-year-old daughter Ella released a statement Sunday afternoon thanking fans for the outpouring of support after their son Jett’s Friday death.

"We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences," the statement said.

"Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives.

"We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us hope for a brighter future."

They signed off: "With love, John, Kelly and Ella."

Jett died Friday morning at his family’s vacation home in the Bahamas.

Katy Perry and her Gym Class Heroes beau Travis McCoy have split after a year of dating, a source close to Perry confirmed to Usmagazine.com Friday.

"It’s sad, but they were fighting a lot because they never saw each other and now she is going on tour," the source told Us. "She just needed a clear head. It’s been non-stop work for her."

McCoy posted the lyrics to Main Source’s tune "Looking at the Front Door" on his blog about the breakup, which was first reported by Celebuzz.

"We fight every night, now that’s not kosher. I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer. And wake up to be greeted by an argument again, You act like you’re 10…My friends always tell me how I’m lucky to possess the best looking girl in the whole U.S….it seems like just two years back when we were bonded and not pierced, but now I keep itchin’ to jet," he wrote.
